Dr. Donna M. Scanlon from Michigan State University will be doing a parent presentation on reading literacy called “Raising Readers.” She will be presenting activities and strategies parents can use to help their children enjoy the skill of reading. Dr. Donna M. Scanlon’s presentation will provide good information for parents of children ages newborn through elementary years. The presentation will take place on March 29th from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. at our High School Auditorium. If you are interested in attending, complete this survey: RAISING READERS In-District Building Transfer Requests & Schools-of-ChoiceHudsonville Public Schools will be considering In-District Building Transfer Requests and Schools-of-Choice Applications for all buildings (room permitting) for the 2010-2011 school year. The following conditions apply:
1. The staffing and building facilities can accommodate the transfer. Openings will be determined by grade level allowing open positions for move-in students. 2. Due to staffing, student transportation, or other considerations, the district may opt to deny a request. 3. In-district building transfers, once approved, will remain in effect unless a major shift in student population or redistricting occurs. 4. Schools-of-Choice (non-resident) students are required to apply annually.
